Principal’S message

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I would like to introduce myself to you as the new Principal and welcome the opportunity that has been offered to me in serving the P.S. 132 school community. I am looking forward to working with you, your children, and the community to ensure that we meet the needs of our students in creating a positive and enriching learning environment.

Prior to my transition to P.S. 132 my career was entirely within the District 9 Community. I have made teaching and learning my life’s career and passion because it affords me the opportunity to help shape and mold our society’s most valuable possessions; its children.

Twenty-four years ago, I began my career in education by taking a teaching position in a Bronx District 9 school. I was excited about enabling students to strive and achieve academic success. I later became both literacy and a math coach which gave me the opportunity to support instruction in the school and also to support teachers’ professional growth.

For the last sixteen years I worked as an Assistant Principal to create a school community that strived to ensure that our students were instructed by skilled and caring teachers.

I am committed to doing the work that will lead us on the path to a successful 2022-2023 school year.
